MrBeast’s First Book
Although Jimmy Donaldson—better known as MrBeast—has built an enormous audience through YouTube videos, global competitions, charitable campaigns, consumer products, and the Prime Video series Beast Games, The Most Dangerous Games represents his first major venture into book publishing.
The premise fits naturally with the large-scale competitions associated with MrBeast’s videos. However, the novel raises the stakes by placing its contestants in a fictional survival contest where elimination may mean more than simply losing the game.
When the collaboration was announced, Donaldson said that he and Patterson shared an interest in encouraging people around the world to read more. He also expressed hope that the project could open additional opportunities for digital creators interested in publishing.
James Patterson Adds Another Major Collaboration
James Patterson has written with many prominent collaborators, including former President Bill Clinton, musician and actress Dolly Parton, and the late novelist Michael Crichton.

HarperCollins acquired worldwide rights to the project and originally announced plans to publish the novel simultaneously in 15 languages.
In addition to English-language editions in the United States and United Kingdom, the publisher announced editions in languages including:
Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Polish, and Czech.
William Morrow will publish the United States edition, while HarperFiction will handle publication in the United Kingdom.
